Die neue Wildcat VP880 Pro Workstation CAD/DCC Grafikkarte ist mit 256 MB Speicher ausgestattet, wie auch schon die VP870 begnügt sich die VP880 mit einem Standard AGP Slot.

Wie die vor kurzem angekündigte Wildcat VP990 Pro mit 512 MB Speicher, soll die Wildcat VP880 Pro CAD und DCC Profis bei der Verarbeitung von komplexen Modellen zur Seite stehen - Daten und Texturen werden im schnellen Bildspeicher und nicht im Systemspeicher zwischengespeichert. Damit ist auch der AGP Bus entlastet. Die Wildcat VP880 Pro ist die erste "genügsame" 256 MB Grafikkarte, welche keinen PCI Slot überdeckt und auch keinen AGP Pro benötigt.
