Die PGP Corporation schaffte es, 14 Millionen US-Dollar an Risikokapital aufzutreiben und hat Network Associates die PGP Produktlinie abgekauft.

Die PGP Corporation, die sich aus ehemaligen Vantive, PeopleSoft, Symantec, und Counterpane Internet Security, sowie ehemaligen PGP-Mitarbeitern und Patenthaltern zusammensetzt, hat erklärt, dass sie für alle ehemaligen, aktuellen und zukünftigen PGP-Produkte wie
  • PGP Mail, PGP File, PGP Disk, & PGP Admin für Windows und Macintosh
  • PGP Corporate Desktop
  • PGP Keyserver
  • PGP Wireless für PalmOS und WinCE/PocketPC
  • PGP SDK encryption software development kit (SDK)
Unterstützung gewährt.

Weiters wurden bereits für den November 2002 neue Produkte angekündigt, darunter PGP 8.0 für Windows XP mit PGP Mail and PGP Disk, serverseitiger Lotus Notes Unterstützung sowie verbessertem Unicode Support. Neu im November ist auch PGP 8.0 für Mac OS X mit PGP Mail und PGP Disk Unterstützung, das nun endlich auch mit PGP Disks umgehen kann, die unter Windows erstellt wurden und natürlich auch abwärtskompatibel ist. PGP Mail auf dem Mac unterstützt sowohl Apples Mail-Applikation, als auch Microsofts Entourage.

Die PGP Corporation übernimmt auch selbstverständlich auch alle Supportverträge und Lizenzvereinbarungen von Network Associates. Für den EMEA-Bereich (Europe, Middle East, Africa) hat sich die PGP Corporation die britische Firma Intellect für den Verkauf, technischen Support und Lokalisierung in diesem Bereich geholt.
